Joe Hudgins Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman Joe has over 12 years of solar industry experience, including Vice President of Worldwide Operations for BP Solar where he delivered the strategy and implemented the design, construction, start-up and operations of three wafer fabrication plants and eight solar plants in five countries: making BP Solar #2 in the world in 2004.
Joe is a recognized solar industry innovator; he was one of the first in the industry to apply proven disciplines from the semiconductor industry to solar operations. He served on the Board of Tata BP Solar in India and BP Solar Espana.
In addition, Joe has provided international clean tech services for business and operations for numerous global clients, including supply chain, due diligence, site selection, plant assessment and turn around.
Prior to his solar industry experience, Joe spent 20 years in the Semiconductor industry: as Operations Manager for Mostek Corporation and General Manager for Cypress Semiconductor in Round Rock, TX.
Joe has a BS degree from Abilene Christian University, majors in Business Economics and Political Science.
Haden Bourg Chief Technical Officer and Vice President of Operations Haden has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and solar industries, including leadership roles in engineering, maintenance and technology transfer. He was the Project Lead for BP Solar Espana, where he converted the acquired Lucent semiconductor facility to a Solar manufacturing line in a record-breaking 11 months.
Prior to his solar experience, Haden held Semiconductor Operations Management roles at Mostek, Cypress Semiconductor, National Semiconductor and RF Monolithics. His vast process knowledge and rapid technology commercialization skills as it relates to solar manufacturing are well known and second to none.
He has a BS in Physics from Lamar State University, Masters in Engineering Materials from University of Maryland.
Nick Littleton Vice President of Supply Chain During his 13 yrs at Applied Materials Nick served in multiple areas including manufacturing, engineering, marketing, program management and operations in both Austin TX and Santa Clara CA. Key accomplishments during Nicks employment with Applied Materials include securing over $60M in customer orders for Applied Materials semiconductor equipment in the European market and Operational Management roles in both Applied Materials Semiconductor and Solar divisions focused primarily on production control, supply chain integration and customer order management oversight.
Nick has proven new approaches to lowering Balance of System (BOS) costs by using cost-effective mounting and wiring alternatives. These solutions are applicable to utility-scale systems, as well as architecturally integrated solar, where aesthetics prevail. Additionally, he has aggressively lowered cost estimates for feedstock and resolved inefficiencies within the solar supply chain.
Nick has a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University in College Station TX, MBA in Business Management from St. Edwards University in Austin TX, and has a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
John Merritt Vice President Of Marketing And Sales John has 30 years of engineering, technical marketing, technology commercialization and product launch experience. He spent 10 years at Motorola and Dallas Semiconductor in engineering and technical marketing roles, and co-founded three Austin technology companies, including NetSolve, a networking services business which is now owned by Cisco Systems, and Traq-Wireless, wireless management software and services company.
Prior to SAVe, John spent the last five years providing technical marketing, engineering and consulting services to both startups and established companies in the Clean Tech Sector, so he has a unique perspective with regards to emerging trends in renewable energy and energy efficiency. His solar expertise also benefits from his years of work in IT, network management and control, and power systems design.
John has a BS Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas.
Buddy Rogers Chief Financial Officer Buddy has served as the Controller and CFO for multiple technology startups, his experience includes public and private capital raises totaling $320 million: $280 million in public markets, and $40 million in private equity.
Buddy has a BA in Business Administration from Kentucky Wesleyan College with a concentration in Accounting; and an MBA from Huron University in London with a concentration in International Marketing.
